2012 Ceremony

Thanks to everyone who turned out for this year's memorial ceremony. The event is held each year in Belmar Park in Lakewood as a tribute to all of Colorado's fallen firefighters. We are glad to say that this year, for the third year in a row, no new names have been added to the memorial.

Paid or volunteer, the firefighters of Colorado continue to serve and protect. Now we must step forward to recognize their service and their memory. A permanent fund has been started to aid the families of fallen firefighters with services such as counseling and family support, legal aid, education assistance and job training.
