Fallen Firefighters Remembered

Each May firefighters and citizens gather to remember those firefighters who have fallen in the line of duty.

The Colorado Fallen Firefighters Memorial begins with a fire apparatus parade with the memorial ceremony begining immediately after in Lakewood's Belmar Park with speakers from the fire service, as well as music and traditional fire service observancewith bag pipes and a combined Honor Guard.

The Colorado Fallen Firefighters Foundation is dedicated to honoring all firefighters who have lost their lives protecting the lives and property of people of Colorado. The 2011 ceremony is scheduled for May 7.
